*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR TRAINERS

The minimum qualifications needed to be a Foster Care trainer are:

  • Experience in the subject area and proposed training content
  • Experience working with or on behalf of children, youth and their families involved in the child welfare and/or probation systems (recommended, but not required)
  • Experience in delivering training remotely

DON'T MISS OUT ON VALUABLE TRAINING DOLLARS!

The Foster Care Training Program, funded through the Title IV-E grant, provides training to increase the skills and capacity of those who work directly with foster and adoptive care children including Foster Parents and kin, county workers, and other providers working to support the case plans for dependent children.

The training itself is sponsored by foster family agencies (foster care agencies), group home providers and social service agency departments that serve foster and adoptive care children; however, trainers can come from anywhere not just from within said providers.

Courses Can Range From:

  • Child and adult CPR/First Aid
  • Caring for children who have been physically abused
  • Understanding child and adolescent needs and strengths
  • ...AND MORE!

Welcome to FosterTRAIN!

We look forward to partnering with you!
